Tutor opportunities

The College is currently seeking providers of tutorial and authoring services. Where required, training will be given by Hibernia College in respect of all tutor/author online requirements. In particular we are looking for tutors/authors for the following programmes and subject areas.


H.Dip in Arts in Primary Education

The tutor will be responsible for assisting and supporting student tutorial groups in the completion of the Higher Diploma in Arts in Primary Education (HDAPE). We are specifically recruiting tutors in the following areas:

  • Gaeilge Acadúil
  • Philosophy of Education
  • Sociology of Education
  • Pedagogy of Geography
  • Pedagogy of History
  • Pedagogy of Science
  • Pedagogy of Music
  • Pedagogy of SPHE
  • Pedagogy of Drama

Tutorial services provided will include:

  • Preparation and delivery of tutorials in an on-site and/or online environment.
  • Provision of e-mail and telephone support as required by students for the duration of the programme.
  • Leading and moderation of online forums within the online learning environment.
  • Provision of support to students through the discussion fora within the online environment.
  • Liaison with lead tutors and students throughout the examination and assessment process.

Services providers should be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Knowledge and experience of the primary school system.
  • Experience with a national programme (e.g. PCSP, PPDS, PDST).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Master’s qualification.

M.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Medicine

Hibernia College is currently expanding its School of Health Sciences and developing the range of postgraduate programmes it delivers to students around the world.  The college is now recruiting adjunct faculty in the following disciplines:

Biotechnology,  Operations and Quality Management in the Life Sciences,  Management Control and Cost Accounting,  Financial Management and Accounting,  Portfolio Management in the Pharmaceutical Industry, Sales and Marketing in the Pharma Industry, Ethics, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, Clinical Trial Management, Statistics, Health Economics, Research Methods, Drug Discovery, Pharmacology and Therapeutics.

Roles include lecturing, authoring online content, tutoring, thesis supervision and setting and marking assessments.

Applicants must have a Masters degree and at least five years relevant experience. Experience with online education is desirable.
