Overview
Hibernia College’s online Master of Arts in Teaching and Learning provides today’s teachers and educators with the knowledge and skills necessary to deal with current issues in the modern classroom. Specific areas covered include additional learning needs, diversity, development and disadvantage, i-learning and contemporary issues in education.
Delivered online by experienced education professionals with a focus on classroom application, this masters provides the tools and knowledge to enable teachers to bring the latest innovations and best practice into the class setting. Because the content is based on strategies and techniques (rather than a particular classroom curriculum), graduates from the programme will be able to apply their new skills regardless of the age of the students with whom they work.
The programme consists of four individual certificates (which together form a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning) plus two modules on Research Methods and a thesis of 15,000-20,000 words. Note that the certificates can also be completed as stand-alone awards.
This is a HETAC Level 9 award. To see a diagram explaining the National Framework of Qualifications, click here.
