All applicants are expected to possess the following:
- An undergraduate honours degree (Level 8)*
And
- A recognised teaching qualification
Or - A minimum of 2 years practical experience in a recognised educational context
And
- Be working in a recognised educational context
Or - Have access to a suitable context in which engagement with learners enables critical reflection
This course is a postgraduate course for education practitioners who are able to learn from the course and also add value to it through the sharing of their own experience. Accordingly, this course is designed for graduates who are able to reflect on their own past or preferably current experience as a teacher or education professional. This is not an initial teacher education qualification.
* Holders of Level 7 qualifications can also apply for entry to the programme through the recognition of prior learning. The College will assess such applications on an individual basis. Applicants will be required to submit a portfolio of evidence demonstrating their learning and achievement to a Level 8 standard.
