Aodh is a Lecturer in Education in Hibernia College. He is responsible for the college’s Nua-Ghaeilge modules as well as the promotion of development of the Irish language within the college.
Aodh is a qualified post-primary teacher and has a successful record of accomplishment in developing high-level courses, including online and blended learning options. Before joining Hibernia College, Aodh worked with Gaelchultúr/Coláiste na hÉireann for five years as Education Manager and as a lecturer on the company’s Dioplóma Iarchéime san Aistriúchán (Postgraduate Diploma in Translation) programme. During that time, he developed, delivered and managed a wide array of courses, including a range of EPV courses for primary level teachers.
Aodh worked for a number of years as an assistant editor with Conamara based publisher Cló Iar-Chonnacht and with An Gúm, Foras na Gaeilge’s publications and lexicography section. He was also employed as a translator for the New English-Irish Dictionary (www.focloir.ie).
Aodh earned his B.A. and M.A. from the National University of Ireland, Galway, and his P.D.E. from University College Dublin.
