Biography

Mary Clemenger is a highly accomplished and qualified educator with extensive curriculum design, development and teaching experience in leading universities, private education providers, hospitals, residential care facilities and third-level colleges in Ireland and the United Kingdom.

She is a leader with senior management experience, whose passion is in the professional and academic development of staff and students. She is an excellent communicator with strong organisational and operational experience who brings quality assurance and depth of experience to education and healthcare. She also serves as a national facilitator for the Frailty Education Programme.

Mary has been a QQI external authenticator for Level 5 healthcare awards and a member of programme validation panels with QQI for many years. She also has experience as an external examiner for biological sciences (diploma level) and clinical critical care courses (postgraduate diploma level) in the UK — University of London — and Ireland — Trinity College Dublin.

Mary is experienced in the entire academic validation and professional course accreditation processes. She has considerable interest in the application of biological sciences to healthcare and the development of healthcare professionals, as well as a specific interest in the immune response to medical conditions linked to nursing care delivery.
