Job Purpose:

Hibernia College now seeks to recruit a Digital Designer to drive standards and push the design envelope. The successful candidate will work as part of a growing design team contributing to the development and compilation of online and offline materials.



  • Design and develop visual components of high-quality interactive e-learning content with cutting-edge graphic and motion graphic resources
  • Work as part of the digital design team to create the next-generation visual standards of Hibernia College
  • Champion and inspire creative design processes on webpage, newsletter, email, magazine, newspaper, brochure, book publication, signage, banner and other promotional materials
  • Clearly conceptualise client requirements, prepare storyboards and present design models
  • Drive standards in the development and production of high-quality audio video resources
  • Work with the Digital Learning Department to design and update course templates
  • Keep up to date with course development, UDL and Web accessibility standards
  • Contribute and adhere to in-house development guidelines and project plans



  • At least 3 years’ relevant industry experience combined with a recognised relevant third-level qualification
  • Expertise in creating and editing static and motion graphics with tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud suite
  • A good understanding of UX design theory and practice
  • Ability to manage full design life cycle from concept to completion
  • Experience using audio and video production software and hardware
  • Exceptional creative flair and a passionate and innovative approach to design
  • Excellent visual communication and illustration skills
  • Strong IT literacy in Microsoft Office productivity tools
  • Fluent English
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively independently and within a collaborative team environment
