The Hibernia College Post Primary Education – Professional Master of Education was established to develop professionals and experts who are positioned to be leaders in the field of post primary teaching.

It is not a requirement to have prior teaching experience to be eligible to apply for this course.

Secondary teaching course

The Post Primary or Second Level teaching course is for those passionate in teaching young adults in the ages of 12-18. Your specialisation and enthusiasm for your level 8 subject (s) will foster a love of learning by future students, which is why our programme is developed by teachers for teachers.

Professional Master of Education in Post Primary Education – Subjects

The Professional Master of Education (PME) in Post Primary Education at Hibernia College consists of a sequence of modules that reflect the contemporary issues encountered in post primary teaching today and the skills and knowledge required of them in order to be expert post primary teachers who enable effective student learning.

The post primary teaching programme is accredited for the following 15 teaching subjects: Accounting, Agricultural Science,Biology, Business, Chemistry, Computer Science, Economics, English, French, Gaeilge, Geography, German, History, Mathematics, Physics, Politics and Society and Spanish.

Educational background in one of the above subjects is required.
