I wanted to be a teacher from a very young age and Hibernia College allowed me to pursue this career path.
I attended University College Galway for three years and graduated with an honours degree in Gaeilge and Léann an Aistriúchán.
My research project was focused on the teaching of the Irish language through Physical education. I focused on this area as I am very passionate about the Irish language and sports. I play camogie and football for my local club and Irish is the main language used in the club.
I am currently teaching second and third class in Gaelscoil Éadan Doire.
It is very important that people focus in on the Irish language throughout the two years of the PME. I would suggest more time should be spent in a Gaeltacht area to enable a person to get a right grasp of the language.
