Biography
Naomi Pasley joined Hibernia College as part of the Programme Development Team for the BSc (Hons) in General Nursing in 2015 and has been instrumental in achieving QQI validation and NMBI approval for this important programme. She is the Academic Lead and is involved in creating all academic elements of the programme.
Having initially qualified as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) in the Adelaide Hospital, Dublin, she went on to specialise in coronary care nursing. She gained a MSc in Nursing from Trinity College Dublin (1998) where her research focused on Continuing education needs for critical care nurses. Naomi moved into full-time healthcare education and has extensive experience within innovative educational courses for nurses and those in other healthcare-related disciplines.
Her area of expertise is in the design and implementation of educational programmes, particularly within the blended learning approach. Her special interest is in developing innovative curriculum content for a blended learning environment, with a simultaneous focus on student engagement with the learning material.
Naomi is a frequent contributor, as a panel member for QQI, for programme validation and quality assurance approval, with special interest in blended learning. She has also presented at national and international conferences in the area of blended learning.
