Biography
Niamh is a multidisciplinary professional with extensive experience in education, media, and guidance counselling. Her academic journey includes a myriad of qualifications and reflects a deep commitment to lifelong learning. As an undergraduate, she completed a BSc in Communications and Journalism with Irish, and later went on to earn an MA in Irish Studies, specialising in Politics and Anthropology.
Furthering her expertise in education, Niamh completed a Professional Diploma in Education (PDE) in English and Irish teaching methodologies, graduating with first-class honours. She later achieved the same distinction with a Postgraduate Diploma in Guidance Counselling and Lifespan Development.
Research interests
Niamh’s research interests centre on innovative and effective teaching methodologies, the diversification of approaches, and the vital area of wellbeing for both students and educators. She is passionate about creating supportive environments where individuals can thrive and is committed to a person-centred, evidence-based approach that prioritises meaningful engagement and holistic development in her work with students at Hibernia College.
