Our BSc (Hons) in Nursing in General Nursing was specifically designed to provide more flexible routes into nursing. We wanted to take a moment to break down the three entry routes and requirements for each. If you have always wanted to be a nurse, you can find the path to follow your passion.
We offer three application pathways: mature student, further education and Leaving Certificate. All applicants who meet the entry requirements of one pathway will be invited to share their passion for nursing in an interview.
Mature Student Pathway
If you are over the age of 23, this is the pathway for you. You will need to upload a valid passport or driver’s licence to your online application to show that you are or will be over the age of 23 by 1 January in the year of entry to the programme. The online application will prompt you to upload a copy of your passport or driver’s licence. Remember to do so as a PDF document under 4 Mb because other formats are not accepted.
