Hibernia College Quality Framework
The new Hibernia College Quality Framework is the sole authoritative source of all Hibernia College quality assurance documents in effect from 30th September 2025.
Hibernia College offers a range of degree programmes validated and awarded by Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI). Professional teaching qualifications are accredited by The Teaching Council of Ireland, and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes for Teachers are approved by the Department of Education and Skills. The standards of these programmes, as well as the learner experience, are assured through the implementation of the policies and procedures published in the Hibernia College Quality Framework.
The Hibernia College Quality Framework reflects the College’s ongoing commitment to international best practice through a range of mechanisms that seek to continually monitor, review, and enhance our programmes and our College. The Quality Framework is regularly reviewed for its effectiveness. Input from key stakeholders such as students, staff, employers and faculty is an important dimension of our Framework. This ongoing involvement of all internal and external stakeholders is emphasised throughout the policy and procedure documents.
The College is committed to publishing quality assurance reports summarising findings and identifying specific recommendations. The Quality Framework was approved in 2019 as part the College’s Re-engagement with QQI, please click here to view our QA approval report. The College undertook two major successful QA reviews in 2024, a review of the HCQF to ensure it is fit for purpose for full online delivery, this was successfully completed in November 2024. The second major review was a CINNTE Institutional Review, the College was pleased to host an external panel over the course of a week in October 2024 which culminated in a final review report published here, as well as a follow up implementation plan.
